The Ansbach University of the Applied Sciences
The Ansbach University of the Applied Sciences was established in 1996. This university is a part of the Universities of Applied Sciences of the free Sate of Bavaria. This educational institution admits not only the residents, but also the students of the foreign countries. The Bologna Process had a great influence on the curriculum and arrangement of the Ansbach University, and its doctrines were accepted in the winter semester of 2006/07studying year. Due to the Bologna process, all the degrees of “Diplom FH” were replaced by the bachelor’s degrees.
In 2007, the Ansbach University was ranked the first in terms of its curriculum within the other higher educational institutions of Bavaria. There are two faculties within the body of the Ansbach University: Faculty of Engineering Sciences, and Faculty of Economic Sciences and Universal Sciences.
Faculty of Engineering Sciences offers the following programs: Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnologies, Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering with Business Studies.
Faculty of Economic Sciences and Universal Sciences offers the following programs: Field–Journalism, International Management for top Athletes, Multimedia and Communication, Commercial Information Technology, Business Administration.
The Ansbach University of the Applied Sciences is an honorable member of the “High-Tech-Offensive-Bayern”.
